Kip goes to the Flagstaff, Phoenix areas of Arizona to find the killer of a highway surveyor. The killers run him off of the road, leaving him to die in a burning jeep. Kip is stubborn enough (or dumb enough) to keep digging up clues. But when beautiful Valerie Chiccarro (daughter of the highway contractor) disappears, things start to get hot in a hurry.
